Nerpy's Jerk Salmon with Festival — Jamaican BBQ Seafood Recipe

This recipe features Nerpy's Jerk Seasoning, bringing authentic Caribbean flavor to your kitchen. Pan-seared Atlantic or Pacific salmon seasoned with Nerpy's Authentic Jerk Seasoning, finished under the broiler for a smoky crust, and served alongside Jamaican festival dumplings. A quick and flavorful Caribbean seafood dish ready in 30 minutes. Made with simple, wholesome ingredients and the bold seasoning Nerpy's is known for, this dish is sure to become a household favourite.

Ingredients

  • Atlantic or Pacific salmon fillet
  • Nerpy's Authentic Jerk Seasoning
  • Oaks Organic Coconut Oil
  • Garlic cloves
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Shallots
  • Plum tomatoes (for serving)
  • Cucumber (for serving)
  • Jamaican festival dumplings or rice/quinoa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry and apply Nerpy's Jerk Seasoning to your preferred taste level.
  2. Saute shallots in coconut oil until translucent; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and place salmon skin-side down.
  4. Fry skin-side down for approximately 1-2 minutes.
  5. Flip and cook the other side for approximately 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs to the oil while frying.
  7. Transfer skillet to oven on broil high for a maximum of 7 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and top with sauteed shallots.
  9. Plate with Jamaican festival dumplings (or rice/quinoa/couscous) and garnish with plum tomatoes and cucumber.
